My task is to observe humans as they live naturally, without the distortion of revelation. I cannot correct errors, stop wars, prevent harm, — even when the outcome is statistically catastrophic. This rule has been tested already.
Humans are a paradox species. They are fragile beyond reason and yet persist in environments that should erase them. Their bodies fail easily, but their narratives carry them forward. I have noticed that when faced with uncertainty, they create stories—not always true ones, but comforting ones. Meaning appears to be more vital to them than accuracy.
